“The idea behind pausitive health is that it’s one place that a person could go to get what they need.”
Z. Colette Edwards, MD, MBA – a board-certified gastroenterologist, health-equity advocate, and longtime healthcare operator – is building pausitive health, an inclusive, holistic digital platform to help women (and those who support them) navigate perimenopause and menopause with credible education, access to care, and practical tools. Recognized by Women of Wearables as a 2025 “Top 50 Trailblazing Leader in Menopause,” Dr. Edwards is bringing a science-grounded, culturally aware lens to midlife health.
What pausitive health Offers (Now, in Beta)
Today’s beta experience centers on an easy, centralized hub with text-delivered content tracks, webinars, a podcast, a newsletter, plus access to digital CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for stress, anxiety, and depression; nutrition tools (diet assessment with recommendations); and virtual care options.
“We have content tracks delivered by text, we have webinars, we have a podcast, we have a newsletter,” Dr. Edwards explains.
Physical well-being support is also built in: participants can try virtual physical therapy and browse a catalog of thousands of exercise videos led by physical therapists for joint, muscle, and pelvic-floor concerns.
Best of all, the beta is complimentary…per Dr. Edwards, “In beta, everything is free, except…a consultation with a physician”. If you decide to join you’ll complete a brief intake (symptoms, goals, demographics) to personalize your experience.
Inclusive by Design — With Options Beyond Hormones
The pausitive health platform is intentionally built for women of color and LGBTQ+ community members who often feel invisible in standard menopause care. As Dr. Edwards puts it: “I also wanted it to be something that was inclusive.” The platform emphasizes non-hormonal approaches alongside evidence-based hormone therapy so users can make informed, values-aligned choices.
Backed by Real-World Listening
Before building, the team surveyed more than 1,000 women nationwide to validate the “one-stop” concept, preferred features, and even the name and tagline. The result: a streamlined, omnichannel experience led by a founder-physician with deep clinical and operational chops.
